Elisha Joe Atkins was born in clay county Tennessee in February 14, 1874, Son of Samuel W Atkinson and Sarah Brummett. He married Nellie F. Dyer in August of 1895. He came to Texas in September of 1919. Many of his descendants still reside in Texas. Elisha is my great great great grandfather. This blog catalogs and tracts all information pertaining to Elisha’s children and extended families. Welcome.
Nellie Florence (Dyer) Atkins
Nellie Florence Was Born Dyer to Archibald Bel and Sarah ( Thacker-Fortner) Dyer between 1872 and 1879. she married E.J Atkinson ( Elisha Joe Atkins) August 18, 1895 in Clay county Tennessee. She was the mother of 9 children. She passed away in July of 1960 and was buried beside Elisha Joe Atkins at Van alstyne cemetery.
